Sega have dished out a teaser site/place-holder for what they’re describing as a brand new, real-time strategy game by the name of Revolve8. Details are relatively thin for the moment, but Sega have confirmed that a full, proper reveal is penned for next Wednesday, October 10 at 3am Pacific (if you find yourself still up at that hour that is).
The game is led, in Senior Producer role, by Masayoshi Kikuchi whose production credits include both Jet Set Radio and the Yakuza series to name a few, but has recently led development for Sega’s more mobile ventures, with Kikuchi’s last project being this year’s mobile iteration in the Shin Megami Tensei series: Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation. An indication perhaps that Revolve8 may simply be a new mobile game. Interestingly though, Koji Igarashi — of Castlevania fame and of course currently hard at work on that series’ spiritual successor, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, as lead producer — has also been confirmed for character designer. We’ll find out more about Revolve8 — and its platforms hopefully — this time next week.
