Next Rocksteady Title Points to Batman: Arkham Universe

Rocksteady has a lot of unknowns and industry speculation going on. With the last game being Batman: Arkham Knight in 2015, many believed the studio would move on from Batman. There have been talks of incorporating Superman or the Justice League in a game, but this might be all thrown out the window with the latest rumor. In addition, the leaked footage of a new Harry Potter RPG being released by Warner Bros had speculation pointing at Rocksteady for that title, but it looks to be Avalanche Studios working on it. A leak released online involving what Rocksteady is really working on. The game looks to be called Batman: Arkham Universe according to Resetera and Reddit and will be announced at X018.

Batman: Arkham Universe will release in Fall 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC and will include multiplayer. Characters will include the entire Batfamily and Gotham will be 1.5x the size of Arkham Knight. Gotham will be a living, breathing city that will include a set time of day and weather that includes rain, overcast and snow. The main villains will be the Court of Owls and the story will take inspiration from the various comic storylines. It will also include a redesigned Batmobile and the Batcave will serve as the main hub for upgrades and character swaps. There will be dual stealth co-op missions and the parkour will be expanded with more fluid movements. Lastly, this game will be Rocksteady’s true “last hoorah” of Batman games. All we can do is wait to see if this comes to surface at X018.
