Activision today revealed how large Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s day one update is, and it’s massive.
The publisher has updated their support page, revealing that players who pick up the physical version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 must install a 50GB update. The final installation, including the game data on the disc, comes out to 55GB. However, Activision recommends that players have 112GB of free space for an optimized download experience. Digital owners must install the full 55GB.
Players excited to hop into Blackout won’t have to endure the entire installation. At about 30% (16-20GB), Blackout becomes playable. Multiplayer, Zombies, or Specialist Headquarters require the whole update.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out October 12 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
