Tetris Champs Hold the Line in World Championship 2018

The 9th Annual Classic Tetris World Championships will be held later this month in Portland, Oregon on October 20-21. Reigning champ Jonas Neubauer will be in attendance to protect his seven-time championship title. Players from all over the world are invited to battle in out in a duel of wits and geometry. The championship will take place at the Oregon Convention Center during the Portland Retro Gaming Expo 2018.

It’s still possible to enter the Tetris Championship for a fee of $20. This will allow contestants to make as many qualifying attempts as time permits. Further details and rules can be found on TWC website. Not only will guests be able to view the championship, but other goodies like demos for the new Tetris Effect game and prizes will be available. For those unable to make the event, the championship matches will be live streamed on Twitch starting October 21.
