Call of Cthulhu Goes Gold, Drops New Trailer

Developers Cynaide Studio have been hard at work for over two years in creating a faithful video game adaptation of Chaosium’s tabletop RPG Call of Cthulhu, and all their effort is hopefully about to pay off soon. With the release date less than two weeks away, Call of Cthulhu has officially gone Gold, and thus is finally complete. The unique horror game is now truly set for an appropriate Halloween-adjacent release. To commemorate this development, Focus Home Interactive have put out a new trailer, “Preview to Madness,” seen below.

A good chunk of the new clip is praise, mainly for the atmosphere and the investigation aspects. Beyond that, the trailer delivers…well, pretty much what its title suggests. It’s a set of several glimpses into the types of insanity that protagonist Detective Pierce will have to endure. Shots of unspeakable horrors that would truly do Lovecraft proud, perfectly setting the stage for this terrifying adventure. Call of Cthulhu comes out on October 30 for PC, XB1, and PS4, and should be one to check out.
