Developer Dontnod Entertainment today provided an update on the second episode of Life Is Strange 2.
The French studio has penned a Tumblr post that says it has been “hard at work on Episode 2 for some time now,” though it remains in production.
“While we’re not quite ready to talk about a release date for Episode 2 at this time, each of our teams is working very hard to ensure that we can deliver another episode of the highest quality possible,” Dontnod explained.
“These updates will hopefully shine a light on some of that work and give you an insight into what’s going on behind the scenes.”
Going forward, the Life Is Strange developer plans to use Tumblr to share spoiler-free updates on the development of its episodic adventure title.
Episode 1: Roads launched on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC last month.
Following on from its debut, Square Enix announced that it would be collaborating with Feral Interactive, which previously ported Life Is Strange and Life Is Strange: Before the Storm, for the macOS and Linux port of Life Is Strange 2.
Last week, Dontnod rolled out a new update for the Steam version of the title.
The sequel to the studio’s critically acclaimed 2015 title turns its story focus to Sean and Daniel Diaz, who are forced to leave their home in suburban Seattle after an incident involving the police.
Hardcore Gamer’s review for Episode 1: Roads called it a “shining example of a developer that has built on the success of the first title and only continued to improve with the experience it has under its belt in episodic gaming.”
