The Road Rash series has been dormant for far too long, and in its stead a couple of games set out to fill that void. The first was Road Rage – which was ungodly-terrible, and the second for a pure console release is Road Redemption. This has been available on PC in a variety of forms for over a year and definitely delivers the kind of thrills Road Rash veterans have been craving. Today, the game has been released on not only the PlayStation 4 – which is fitting for those who loved the PS1 entries while Nintendo system owners really didn’t have much to choose from.
The N64 offering was a bit iffy, but the GBA entry was pretty solid – and an okay note for Road Rash as a whole to go out on. The game offers up both single race options or a campaign where you can unlock new characters – including Shovel Knight. The game is only $19.99 on both the Switch’s eShop and the PlayStation Store, and is a fantastic pickup for those seeking some biking mayhem.
