PUBG Corp. today confirmed that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is indeed coming to PlayStation 4.
The wait was long, and two competitors (Fortnite and Blackout) are already available on the platform, but PUBG is finally coming to PS4. After a year of timed exclusivity, PS4 players can finally hop into the game that kicked off the battle royale mania.
PUBG launched last December as a timed console exclusive on Xbox One. Back then, PUBG was pretty bare bones. Today, the game features a lot more content, including three maps, tons of new weapons, and, unfortunately, Loot Boxes. PS4 owners can hop in and experience all the new content day one. A fourth snow-themed map launches later this winter.
Like the PC and Xbox One versions, PUBG on PS4 will set you back $30. A Survivor’s Digital Edition comes in at $50, and the Champion’s Digital Edition will set you back $60. To celebrate the game’s release on PS4, all pre-orders come with two special items; a Desert Nathan Drake from Uncharted 3 and Ellie’s backpack from The Last of Us.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is out December 7 on PS4.
