The recently-announced Omno has smashed past its initial Kickstarter target eleven days before its campaign is expected to end, StudioInkyfox has confirmed.
The independent developer was aiming to reach $32,000 (€32,000) on the crowdfunding platform. At the time of this writing, the adventure puzzle title is currently sitting on $71,279 (€62,568) after 2,189 people have backed it.
StudioInkyfox will continue to push forward for more funding, however, as the studio is hoping that the extra money will ensure that PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions can be released.
Earlier this month, StudioInkyfox founder and studio head Jonas Manke said that the Kickstarter-backed title had been in development for two years and is “about sixty percent complete.”
Players take control of a protagonist who possesses a magical staff, allowing them to power up forgotten relics to travel across different terrains in the ancient world.
Omno is slated for release on Steam in 2019.
“Thank you so much for your amazing support,” Manke wrote in a Kickstarter update. “It’s been an incredible week and we still have some time for cool things ahead. This changes my life and I cannot express how much it means to me. You rock.”
