Yoko Taro’s excellent Nier: Automata is getting one last special release sometime in the coming months. The official announcement is still forthcoming, but the ESRB spilled the beans a little early by listing the game on their website. NieR: Automata – Game of the YoRHa Edition is rated for all the same qualities as the original game, and it’s only coming to PlayStation 4 and PC. In all likelihood, this means that there’s little to no new content contained within it and that this version will basically be the same as the Xbox One’s Nier: Automata – Become as Gods Edition.
The Nier: Automata – Become as Gods Edition served as the game’s initial release on the Xbox One. It included the game’s one and only DLC add-on, “3C3C1D119440927,” and a few performance enhancements that took advantage of the Xbox One X’s 4K display capabilities. So, this probably won’t be something those who already own the game will be interested in. For those who missed its initial PC and PlayStation 4 releases and wouldn’t mind some slightly upgraded visuals, NieR: Automata – Game of the YoRHa Edition is worth watching out for. Nier: Automata is a wonderful game, and it deserves all the attention it can muster.
Nier: Automata is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. No release date for Nier: Automata – Game of the YoRHa Edition has been announced yet.
