Bethesda Offering Replacements For Fallout 76 Nylon Bags

As many are aware, the launch and subsequent controversies surrounding Fallout 76 have painted Bethesda in a pretty negative light. The publisher’s been put on blast by fans and critics alike for the state of the game, with some consumers even looking into the possibility of bringing a class action lawsuit against them. Most recently, Bethesda has been accused of engaging in false advertising in regard to the bag included in the $200 Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition. Advertising material claimed the item would be made of canvas, but what buyers received was a much cheaper nylon bag. Bethesda previously said they wouldn’t be doing anything about the bag and offered excuses as to why it wasn’t what was advertised, but it seems the publisher has changed their mind about that.

According to this tweet, fans who purchased the Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition can follow the help link to start the process of receiving a canvas version of the bag. This is certainly great news for anyone affected by the switch, but one wonders why Bethesda would so suddenly change their mind, especially after stating that providing these bags wasn’t doable do to insufficient resources. It might have something to do with some angry customers encouraging others to file complaints with the FTC, or it might just be a publisher trying to earn back some good will from gamers. Hopefully it’s the latter.

Fallout 76 is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
