DICE has confirmed that Battlefield V’s latest update has been delayed.
Yesterday, DICE confirmed that Overture, the beginning of Tides of War, would launch today, December 4. Following that announcement, they announced a delay for the update. The developer revealed the news via Twitter, though did mention the delay shouldn’t be too long.
The team has discovered an issue with the #Battlefield Chapter 1: Overture update. Rather than create issues in the game, we’re holding the update for the time being. We don’t anticipate a long delay and we’ll be back with more news tomorrow or as soon as we have it. pic.twitter.com/bc6xlWPc8e

Overture kicks off Battlefield V’s season of content by adding in a new multiplayer map, a new War Story, and several new weapons and challenges. Unlike previous Battlefield titles, all DLC content for the game comes for free for all players. We’ll let you know should DICE make any announcements regarding when players can expect the update to launch.
Battlefield V is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
