Life Is Strange producer Luc Baghadoust was left surprised after he found an “Easter egg” on the Square Enix Store.
Baghadoust, who is also the producer on Life Is Strange 2, said that he was browsing the publisher’s online store when he came across a 404 error.
He posted a photo of the error message on Twitter, which included another note underneath it: “Rewind time and try again.”
The Dontnod Entertainment developer said that he had “no idea it was there.”
Roxane Domalain, the brand manager for Life Is Strange, also responded to Baghadoust on Twitter, saying that it is a “Square Enix Easter egg.”

Fans of the French studio’s episodic adventure title will know all about the reference’s meaning.
For those who don’t, it refers to the time-bending powers that main protagonist Max Caulfield holds in the critically acclaimed title.
The BAFTA award-winning title was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, macOS, Linux, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and iOS and Android devices.
Players follow the story of Max, an 18-year-old photography student who returns to her hometown of Arcadia Bay, Oregon, and discovers that she can reverse time.
Its sequel, Life Is Strange 2, launched in September for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Following on from the launch of Episode 1: Roads, the second episode in the five-part series is slated for release in January 2019.
Hardcore Gamer’s review for Life Is Strange called it a “bona fide contender for 2015’s GOTY,” saying that the “artwork and visuals in the title make it stand out from its competition, while also taking advantage of the rewind mechanic and embedding it at the heart of every choice that can be made.”
