Free DLC Announced for Resident Evil 2 Remake

The much anticipated release of the Resident Evil 2 remake is only a few days away and some rumors have recently arose about post-launch DLC for the title. Capcom has announced the first free game mode for the title. The game already includes two unlockable modes that were feature in the original title: The 4th Survivor and The Tofu Survivor. The post-launch DLC will be called The Ghost Survivors. Players will be able to play as different characters with randomized elements and an in-game shop that does not feature microtransactions. The mode will be very replayable as two characters have been confirmed: Robert Kendo, a USS Member, and Katherine, the mayor’s daughter who is featured in the game.

Capcom has also confirmed at the recent launch party that the classic 90’s player models will be available on March 22. The DLC will be free and available at launch for PS4 players in Japan via a special PSN card. There is plenty of opportunity for the team to include other unlockables that haven’t been made aware yet with one potentially being fixed camera angles. The one-shot demo is still available online for play. There is no release date announced yet for The Ghost Survivors.
