The February 13 Nintendo Direct showcased a lot of incredible games coming to the Switch, but only one scratched the itch of puzzle game fans. Tetris 99 brings the second version of the legendary puzzler to the system after the highly-regarded Puyo Puyo Tetris. This pits you against 98 other players and the last person standing wins. It’s a simple premise, but one that works well and should lead to some energetic gaming sessions. Tetris 99 launches late in the day on February 13 and is free to play – as long as you have an active Nintendo Online membership. It looks like a fantastic entry in the series and one that could shine brightly on the go.
