Practically Everyone is Here in Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists

Since it was announced, fans have known that Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World was going to involve the main characters from several past entries in the long-running series. With the release of a new trailer however, it appears that that was something of an understatement. Nelke isn’t just recruiting a handful of legendary alchemists to help her develop the town of Westwald, she’s calling on just about every notable alchemist, shopkeeper and side-character to make her dream into a reality.

As seen above,┬áNelke and the Legendary Alchemists is really just a massive celebration of the series. It’s the basic gameplay fans know and love combined with a new city-building feature that lets them create their perfect town populated by their favorite characters. Other features include “Investigations,” which are missions Nelke and her party will embark upon to gather raw materials for their building projects. Combat is included with these, and it builds upon the system used in Atelier Lydia and Suelle: Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings. Fighting isn’t the only objective in these missions though; players would do well to take them slowly and carefully so as to not miss important items.

GUST also announced an early bird bonus for the game. Those that pick it up within the first two weeks of launch day will receive the “Town-Building Five Item Set,” an item pack that includes: “Gust Background Music Packs One and Two,” the “Atelier 20th Anniversary Appreciation House,” the “Mysterious Alchemist Statue” and an extra town person named “Gust-chan.” Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists is also getting a collector’s edition on the NISA Store. The extras included in it are a hardcover art book, the game’s soundtrack, a cloth poster, an acrylic standee of Nelke and a collector’s box. It’s more or less everything a fan of the series could ever want.

Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World launches for PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on March 26.
