Ubisoft today released details concerning the gameplay improvements for Assassin’s Creed III Remastered, and announced the game is coming to Switch.
Assassin’s Creed III Remastered contains more than just visual improvements. Sure, it supports higher-resolution textures, 4K and HDR, and physically based rendering. The remaster will no doubt look good. However, what’s most exciting about it are the numerous gameplay enhancements.
The team took community feedback from the original game to shape the remaster. They’ve cleaned up the UI to create a more enjoyable player experience. Likewise, the in-game economy features a revamp to be more visible and offer additional benefits. What’ll make fans happy, though, are the new stealth features that help craft a better balance between action and stealth. Hide in bushes, call enemies with a whistle, and perform double assassinations. As for new content, new Legacy Outfits based on Alexios, Bayek, and Aguliar have been added.
Assassin’s Creed debuts on Nintendo Switch with Assassin’s Creed III Remastered. In addition to the gameplay enhancements, the Switch version makes use of the hardware’s unique functionality. Expect HD Rumble, a touch screen interface, motion controls, and a specific UI design that works for portable and docked modes.
Assassin’s Creed III Remastered is out March 29 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The Switch version launches May 21. The game is available standalone or as part of the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Season Pass on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
