Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 officially launched today, allowing fans to see whether or not the game holds up beyond the beta. Expectations were running pretty high for this one, yet early feedback suggests that The Division 2 might actually be able to meet them. It would be quite the accomplishment if it proves true, as solid launches tend to elude most modern live service games. Those who played the original Division or put the Division 2 beta through its paces already know what’s up, but here’s a quick refresher for those who are completely new to the series.
Beyond the game’s launch content, developer Massive Entertainment has detailed The Division 2’s first year of post-launch content. In the proceeding weeks, players will get the chance to take on the new “Tidal Basin” stronghold and challenge the eight-player “Operation Dark Hours” raid. Summer will bring the “Outskirts: Expeditions” story content, followed by “Pentagon: The Last Castle” in the fall. There’s quite a bit on the horizon for Division fans, but those that haven’t yet jumped on board should stay tuned for our full review of the game.
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
