Become the Ultimate Shinobi in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

From Software and Activision today dropped a new trailer detailing the gameplay mechanics of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

On Friday, players can hop into From Software’s latest title, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Like Dark Souls and Bloodborne, Sekiro promises to give players a worthy challenge. However, those expecting a similar experience to their previous games are in for a rude awakening. Sekiro features different mechanics that’ll keep everyone on their toes.

Sekiro is all about pressing the attacking by parrying and dodging attacks to open up weak points. Enemies fall fast in bursts of blood, but so do you. To help with that, From Software added in new stealth mechanics. Players can still rush into encounters, but they can also take their time and methodically take out grunts. There may not be any new weapons, but the versatility of the Shinobi prosthetic keeps enemy encounters interesting. At the start, it’ll allow Sekiro to grapple onto high places. However, it can be equipped with new materials that increase its functionality. It’s a world with new possibilities, and lots of dangers. How you tackle every enemy encounter is up to you.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is out March 22 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
