Square Enix and Dontnod Entertainment today announced release dates for the next three episodes of Life Is Strange 2.
Episode 3: Wastelands will launch on May 9 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The fourth episode, which has not had its name revealed, will be coming to console and PC on August 22.
The finale’s title, much like the penultimate episode, has not been revealed and is slated for release on December 3.
“Episode 3: Wastelands continues Sean and Daniel Diaz’s journey to Mexico, as they reach the towering redwood forests of California,” reads the synopsis for the episode.
“Falling in with a community of drifters on the fringes of society, the brothers are exposed to new experiences, encounter new friends and new challenges and must confront much about themselves in the process.

“New relationships cause friction between the brothers and raise doubts about their unity. Can they stay together, or will their journey together end here?”
Episode 1: Roads was released in September and was followed up with Episode 2: Rules’ launch in January.
Hardcore Gamer’s review for Rules called it “a fantastic experience and continues to build on Dontnod’s reputation as the king of episodic gaming.”
In our review for Roads, we found that the opener was a “shining example of a developer that has built on the success of the first title and only continued to improve with the experience it has under its belt in episodic gaming.”
