It’s been quite a while since gamers were first introduced to rookie defense attorney Phoenix Wright on the Nintendo DS, hasn’t it? In the years since his debut in 2005, fans have since Mr. Wright grow from fresh-faced newbie into a seasoned trial attorney capable of taking on even the most colorful of opponents. As accomplished as he’s become though, it’s still fun to look back on those early years and think about running through them again. The thing is, that’s exactly what fans can do now with the console launch of the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy.
Fans can now return to the Phoenix Wright’s original set of cases on any of the modern consoles. The game’s visuals have received something of an upgrade, as have the controls since the Nintendo DS’ second screen is no longer available. One would think something would be lost in the translation to a single-screen setup, but the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy actually holds up quite well. This is the perfect chance for longtime fans to relive the glory days and for newcomers to find out why “objection!” is the series’ catch phrase.
The Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, 3DS and Nintendo Switch.
