Square Enix today accidentally revealed that Octopath Traveler is coming to PC via Steam.
Octopath Traveler comes to PC on June 7. Square Enix accidentally announced it in a now-deleted blog post. Gematsu was able to grab all the details before the publisher deleted the post. It doesn’t detail any PC exclusive features or new content coming with this version. Hopefully, we’ll get more details when Square Enix does decide to post the announcement.
Octopath Traveler launched summer 2018 for the Switch to critical and commercial acclaim. The charming RPG starred eight travelers as they embarked on personal quests of redemption, revenge, and self-discovery. The game utilized a unique art style dubbed HD-2D, which was a throwback to the NES days in an HD gloss. While the game is definitely coming to PC, it’s unknown if it’ll eventually end up on PS4 and Xbox One.
Octopath Traveler is available now on Switch and June 7 on PC. A prequel is currently in development for mobile devices, and a potential sequel for consoles is also in the works.
