The reveal trailer for Respawn Entertainment’s upcoming single-player focused efforts in the Star Wars universe, finally dropped. Unsurprisingly, there isn’t a shred of gameplay in sight; the trailer instead providing a few key details pertaining to the premise of the story in Jedi: Fallen Order. As we already knew, the game is set between episodes III & IV following the execution of Order 66, where most of the Jedi Order have been wiped out. We now know that the story focuses on the once Padawan, Cal Kestis — one of the few remaining Jedi’s still alive — who keeps his background a secret from the newly-formed Galactic Empire.
Described as an action-adventure, EA had assured fans prior to the trailer’s release, that the game’s single-player efforts wouldn’t be meddled with. “No microtransactions. No loot boxes. And no, we won’t be adding them…” to quote the company who took to social media. It’s similarly unsurprising to find plenty of fans, in response, remain incredibly doubtful as to whether EA and Respawn will keep to their word, following the debacle that was EA’s previous efforts in the Star Wars universe with Battlefront II. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will release across PS4, Xbox One & PC on November 15. Check out the reveal trailer below:
