Rhythm Game Cytus α Gets Physical, Digital Release Dates for Nintendo Switch

Flyhigh Works has announced Nintendo Switch release dates for Rayark’s upcoming Cytus α.

According to the Japanese developer and publisher, the rhythm title will launch digitally on the Nintendo eShop on April 25.

For owners of Nintendo’s hybrid console, there will be the opportunity to begin pre-loading the title from Thursday, April 18.

Flyhigh has confirmed that Rayark’s latest title would retail at $49.99 (€49.99/£44.99) at launch.

Following on from its release on the eShop, the publisher said that Cytus α would receive a retail release in North America on May 14 thanks to its ongoing collaboration with PM Studios.

PM and Flyhigh have confirmed that details on a European release will be “announced soon.”

Cytus α features more than 200 songs and has a story, which allows players to unlock more tracks the further that they progress through chapters.

Over the course of the story, players will learn more as they delve deep into the memories of the Operator.

Flyhigh has said that the title features tracks that were made for Chapter Ω and boasts a “fully revamped user interface,” while players also have the opportunity to compete with others through Online Score Battles.

Earlier this year, the Cytus α publisher confirmed that the title would be released in April for Switch and the first wave of physical editions would come with a CD that includes tracks from Chapter Ω.

“With incredible music, visuals and gameplay, Cytus α is a rhythm masterpiece from Rayark that shouldn’t be missed,” the publisher said.
