E3 2019: Kickstarter-Backed Police Stories Finally Gets a Release Date

During the Kinda Funny Showcase at E3 today, publisher HypeTrain Digital announced a release date for Mighty Morgan’s Police Stories.

The top-down shooter will retail at $14.99 and will be heading to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on September 19.

The Russian developer’s title previously made its way to Kickstarter in 2017, with it successfully securing the funding needed on the crowdfunding platform after raising $26,679 from 555 backers.

Players follow the story of no-nonsense police officer John Rimes and his loud-mouthed rookie partner, Rick Jones, as they take on the criminal world.

Encounters will vary thanks to the randomized positions and behavior, which Mighty Morgan says boosts the replay value of the title.

Police Stories, which supports both local and online co-op, features a ‘Surrender System’ that allows players to apprehend a suspect without the use of violence.
