First Gameplay, Closed Beta Dates for Project Resistance Revealed

Earlier this week, Capcom unveiled the newest entry in the Resident Evil franchise, an asymmetrical multiplayer title that tasks four humans with overcoming the zombies and traps set in real-time by an opposing player.

While the first trailer was cinematic and provided a glimpse at the premise for Project Resistance, the latest trailer below shows proper gameplay and dives into some of the details for the competitive shooter. While each of the four human survivors have unique abilities that can help themselves and their teammates, the mastermind can place enemies and traps and control cameras, mounted weapons, and even specific zombies including the powerful Mr. X, who was seen stomping the hallways in this year’s Resident Evil 2 remake.

While no release date has been set for Project Resistance, which will release on PS4, Xbox One and PC, players can sign up for the closed beta test via the official site, which is scheduled to take place from October 4 to 7.
