Rockstar Releases PC Game Launcher, Offers GTA: San Andreas for Free for Limited Time

In recent years, the market for digital PC platforms has steadily been increasing, with the Epic Games Store still in its first year with the public and garnering plenty of attention for its exclusivity deals and weekly free titles.

Today, Rockstar Games has stepped in with their own PC launcher, which debuts with cloud saves and a storefront that includes several of the British developer’s prominent releases from recent years. These games that are available for purchase include Grand Theft Auto V, L.A. Noire, Max Payne 3, Bully: Scholarship Edition, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, with the last game being offered for free to users who download the launcher for an unspecified limited time. While Rockstar is likely to add more games from their library in the weeks and months to come, several of the more surprising absentees at launch include Midnight Club II and Grand Theft Auto III and IV, while this new initiative could also spark some hope for other Rockstar titles to finally make their way to PC, including the developer’s most recent release, Red Dead Redemption II.
