It’s been a while since we at Hardcore Gamer have reported on UK-based developer ZA/UM’s upcoming detective sim/RPG game, Disco Elysium. Admittedly, one of the reasons is that after playing Disco Elysium, trying to effectively describe it can get a bit…tricky. But it’s still certainly shaping up to be a fun and ambitious RPG, which is why we’re happy to report that we only have less than a month to go now until the game’s release. The official release date was announced via the trailer below, which also shows off several of the game’s features.
When we describe the game as “ambitious,” by the way, we mean it. Not only does Disco Elysium boast over sixty hours of gameplay, but that it also has an open world that allows you to visit the city in any order you wish, allowing you to tackle several different cases. It also has lots of skills to learn, tools to unlock, psychoactive substances to discover, more than fifty unique “thoughts” that can be analyzed…yeah, as you can see in video, this isn’t any normal detective work, and things can take a turn for the surreal at times. Disco Elysium comes out for PC on October 15, and should offer something unique, to say the least.
